With Work Hounslow. employers from various sectors such as healthcare and construction can develop a talent pool with the skills that can match to their needs.

We work closely with training partners to deliver skills bootcamps and training opportunities for our residents.

Healthcare sector

Partnering with NHS

Work Hounslow have been partnering with NHS Trusts across London to provide job opportunities via the Work Hounslow website and social media such as apprenticeships, traineeships, entry level roles, volunteering and paid employment including work experience. In addition to delivering information sessions for residents both online and face to face.

Recruiting for entry-level roles in Hounslow GP Practices

Work Hounslow are working to support the local workforce initiative. We are in partnership with Hounslow Consortium, a GP Federation working with all 44 GP surgeries across Hounslow, to offer ongoing recruitment.

We aim to fill various job opportunities, focusing on full-time and part-time Administration and Reception roles within General Practice across Hounslow.

We promote job opportunities, screen candidates to prepare them to attend the skills assessment, deliver skills assessments for Hounslow residents all to build a talent pipeline for fill the entry-level roles within GP Practices.

Promoting work opportunities from Heathrow Airport

We are partnering with the Heathrow Employment and Skills Academy to promote regular Essential Skills Workshops and events such as monthly community drop-ins, CV readiness workshops and interview preparation.

We also promote various job opportunities including construction, security, customer service, hospitality, retail and logistics and much more with our residents on our website and social media channels.

Construction sector

Work Hounslow collaborates with major national developers to offer Hounslow residents training, work experience, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. This initiative supports the fulfillment of the Construction 106 and Social Value function, which serves as the sector's Key Performance Indicator, demonstrating the developers' social value commitments to the community.

Paid work experience for DFN Project Search graduate

We also coordinate a paid work experience opportunity in CField Construction Company for a DFN Project Search graduate. The young person supports the administrative work in the company’s head office in Feltham. The opportunity creates positive impact for DFN Project Search young people, providing valuable paid work experience and making a dramatic difference to their confidence.

Bouygues Construction

In partnership with Work Hounslow and MIT Skills, the company offers a new construction training scheme for residents to gain accredited construction training certificates to progress into construction on the development site. The new training scheme aims to develop a workforce of skilled workers for the company to commence its building of a diagnostic centre in Isleworth, Hounslow.

The scheme will develop new entrant training onsite and offer opportunities including apprenticeships, NVQ’s and local job starts, providing four-week training, guaranteed interview for residents who have completed the training.

Willmott Dixon

Willmott Dixon is developing Charlton House and Albany House on behalf of Hounslow Council which means more job opportunities in construction for our residents.

The company has been supporting the Council and its services, including donations and warm packs for the most vulnerable people, working with schools in the borough to provide work placement opportunities and insight days to promote opportunities.
